Is there a federal government debt consolidation loan program available in the US?

Most people will tell you that there is not a government debt consolidation program in the USA. There are consolidation programs available for student loans and in some cases there may be debt consolidation loans available to help corporations out of debt when it is in the interest of the government to do so. Other than those, it doesn’t apear that the federal government offers any type of consolidation services.

If you need a debt consolidation loan, starting with your local bank is probably a good idea. They will have the experience to point you to a good reputable company.
